Suffice to say the home team took three points with three goals - all of which were very preventable (whether with a whistle, or a bit of luck!) - the opener coming from Adailton just after the half hour mark. A long ball bounced nicely for the forward who then bundled into the back of Genta Miura to send him flying and he then advanced to beat Masaaki Higashiguchi in the Gamba goal.
Kengo Kawamata will claim the 2nd goal, five minutes before the break, although he knew little about it as the ball bounced off his leg and over the line as Nagura Sakurauchi - standing in an offside position - obstructed Hiroki Fujiharu's view of the ball as he tried to clear.
Kawamata scored his second, and his team's third goal on the 55th minute mark when Fabio attempted to clear another ball over the top only to see his kick come off, some were saying, the Jubilo forward's arm. Either way, the struggling light blues rode their luck, again, when the ball bounced kindly for Kawamata to tuck it home. 3-0 and less than an hour played!
Finally, after going three goals down Gamba seemed to wake up, and moments after the third goal Yasuhito Endo came close with a superbly-controlled volley that saw the helpless 'keeper breathe a sigh of relief as it just missed the post. Two minutes later Yasuyuki Konno, just on as a sub, stung the goalkeeper's hands with an edge of the area blast as Gamba went looking for a way back into this game but it was not to be. Jubilo won't have this much luck again this season, Gamba must have used up their misfortune, too!
