Kashiwa Reysol 0-1 Gamba Osaka

Gamba Osaka traveled to high-flying Kashiwa Reysol and came home with all three points from a deserved win, earned by a lone goal from midfield maestro Dawhan.

The away team came out on the front foot looking for the win and Hiroto Yamami signaled Gamba's intentions early on when latching on to a through ball and chipping the 'keeper, Kim Seung-guy being caught off his line. The ball dropped inches wide of the post, much to the relief of the home defence.

For Reysol, Mathias Savio hit a post from a curling free kick although it seemed that Jun Ichimori in the Gamba goal would have had it saved if it was a few inches closer to him, and the goal. The away team came closest just before half time when the Gamba 'keeper was equal to a Mao Hosoya chip, and the game remained scoreless at the break.

The 2nd half began with Gamba under some early pressure but the defence were equal to whatever was thrown at them and forced the goal that won them the game from a corner in the 72nd minute, as Dawhan poked home a far-post corner that was turned back into the middle by Kwon Kyung-kwon for the Brazilian to give his team the lead, and the points!

Gamba controlled the game and kept Reysol limited to long range shots and speculative balls forward, although a final long ball almost gave the home team a point when Hiromu Mitsumaru headed a long range hopeful ball over the (keeper and onto a post. It was Gamba's day though, and that final play of the game saw the way team take home all three points.
