Pre-match comments for the match against Tokyo Verdy (Head Coach Poyatos, Abe, Nakatani)
"The match against Fukuoka was very disappointing, including the Head Coach call, but the whole team showed great ability to exploit the space created by the opponents' movements, and I believe they will be able to do the same in the match against Tokyo Verdy. The match against Tokyo Verdy will be a culmination of my three years as manager of Gamba, and I believe it will be a very emotional match. As it is the final league match, I believe there will be a festival-like atmosphere, so I will be highly motivated and hope to give everything I have to the fans and supporters in the form of a victory. Over the past three years, we have received a lot of love from the Osaka community, and I think the players have really worked hard together. There have been good and bad times in the daily matches, but I believe we have clearly demonstrated what we have built up, so although I do not think the match against Tokyo Verdy will be easy, I hope the fans and supporters will enjoy it."
MF13 Shuto ABE "Dani (Head Coach Poyatos) was a Head Coach who taught me how to move the ball, and he taught me things like where the defensive midfielders should stand and where to go if the opponent plays like this. He taught me things like that, which broadened the scope of my play and added another way of thinking, so I'm very grateful to Dani. The match against Tokyo Verdy is our last league game, and it will also be Dani's last league game, so I want to win not only for the fans and supporters, but also for Dani's sake. Tokyo Verdy has a lot of young players and plays a really tight defense, so I think we can't lose in close battles for the ball first. Tokyo Verdy's defense is solid, but if we can show Gamba's strength and play our own style of football, I think we can score goals and win. To that end, I want to score a goal myself."
DF20 Shinnosuke NAKATANI "I think the football we've been building up with Dani (Head Coach Poyatos) was fantastic last year. This year, we've had a lot of trial and error, and I'm sure there were some difficult parts with the team members, but I think he stuck to his own beliefs and stuck to what he wouldn't compromise on, and he persevered until the end. I've been using him all this time, and I've felt the trust the Head Coach has in me, so I tried my best to repay that, and I want to send him off in a good way. I'm also sorry to our fans and supporters for not being able to achieve good results this year, so I want to win and make them happy. To that end, I think Gamba hasn't been able to score from corner kicks this year, so I hope we can score one from one. I scored a goal in the final game of last year, so I want to push forward in this match against Tokyo Verdy."
