Head Coach comments after the match
Head Coach Poyatos said, "I think the team performed well in terms of passing and attacking in both the first and second halves, and they converted their chances. Even though they conceded the opening goal in that way, they kept their heads up and showed their determination not to lose or draw, and I'm pleased that they were able to win."
Q: Usami has now played his 300th J1 match and scored the equalizer. What is your opinion of him?
Head Coach Poyatos: "Well, I always talk about (Usami) Takashi, but I think he's in a really good place right now, and I always think he's the best player in the J.League. I've never seen a player with such technical ability, even in European clubs, and I think he'll continue to soar as he gets older. He's struggled with injuries at times, but I think he's progressing well, and as our captain, he's always wanted to help the team and helped us out. His assist for the fourth goal was a typical play, and I think he's a unique player who gives us so much."
Q: "You've been scoring multiple goals in the last few games. What are the factors that lead to these multiple goals, and what do you feel is working well?"
Head Coach Poyatos: "I think it's difficult to answer this question. I believe we've created many scoring opportunities up until now. We're human, so there are things we can't control, and of course there have been games where we couldn't do it, but I think the players have worked hard. Among those, accuracy and the ability to finish scoring opportunities are things that are difficult to control, but I think the players have grown and are not missing those moments. However, I think it's quite difficult to answer that question."
