3/15 (Sat) Settsu City "Settsu City Soccer Class" Implementation Report
On Saturday, March 15th, at the Settsu City Youth Sports Ground, with the cooperation of Settsu City and SSK Corporation, the designated manager of facilities within Settsu City, a "Settsu City Soccer Class" was held by GAMBA OSAKA alumnus Michihiro YASUDA and GAMBA OSAKA Academy coach.
At the opening ceremony, held amid a light rain, Settsu City Mayor Koichi Shimano gave an opening address, followed by guest Michihiro YASUDA's appearance.
The class started with cheers from not only the children but also their parents.
We offered courses for beginners to experience the fun of touching the ball, as well as courses for experienced players to learn skills such as dribbling and kicking the ball, and we conducted courses tailored to the participants' soccer experience.
Mr. Yasuda also gave direct advice, and the children really enjoyed themselves.
At the closing ceremony, there was a Q&A session with Yasuda. He answered many of the children's questions in an easy-to-understand manner.
Finally, Yasuda gave the following words of advice: "Practice everything you do, both soccer and studying. And always be grateful to your mother, father and the people around you."
Thank you to everyone in Settsu City, everyone at SSK Corporation, and Michihiro YASUDA for your hard work.
GAMBA OSAKA will continue to work with many people, including those in its hometown, to become a club that is loved by the local community.
