Pre-match comments for the match against Yokohama FC(Head Coach Poyatos, Fukuoka, Humet)
Head Coach DANIEL POYATOS : "The loss to Machida was painful, but I think the players still have a good feeling about it, as they created scoring opportunities against a difficult team that was on a roll. Of course, we know that winning is the most important thing, so I want to fight without wavering alongside the players and overcome this hurdle together. Yokohama FC has a new Head Coach, and I feel that they are focusing on staying in the league. I think they are playing with aggressive, strong, and high-intensity players, and are placing an emphasis on staying in the league by scoring first and defending until the end. Within that, the thing we need to be most careful of is the strength of Lukian and (Sakuragawa) Solomon up front. I think that fighting for the ball there and suppressing high-quality second balls will be important to get our momentum going."
DF2 Shota FUKUOKA "In order to avoid conceding goals early on, we will keep our play simple, such as not allowing the opponent to take corner kicks at the beginning, and the whole team will focus on not letting the opponent gain momentum in the first 15 minutes. In our last match against Yokohama FC, Ndoka hit the ball over me, so I think set pieces are very important. Also, we currently have strong players up front, including Lukian and Solomon, so I think we have explosive power in attack, but I think we have weaknesses in defense. The opponents will be fighting desperately given the situation they are in, but rather than trying to adapt to their demands, we want to play our own style of football and fight."
FW23 DENIZ HUMMET "Even though we haven't been winning for a while, I believe the team's potential and the quality of our players are high, so I think it's important for me to play in a more relaxed state without feeling any pressure in order to get the three points. As a forward, I want to score goals and contribute to the team's three points, but my running creates space for my teammates, so I want to focus on continuing to run, both in attack and defense, and contribute to the team first. In order to win, I think it's important to keep our energy up no matter what and to face the opponent with energy from the start. We have a lot of fans and supporters coming to the stadiums both at home and away, so I want to turn that into strength and work together to get the three points."
