Pre-match comments for the Nagasaki match (Head Coach, Handa, and Okunu)
Head Coach JENS WISSING : "Nagasaki has the impression of being a team that you can't let your guard down against, as they have the drive and physical strength to go forward, and the speed to counterattack. Nagasaki's fighting style, the power, physical strength and speed of their front line players, meanwhile, means we need to be mindful of what we need to do when we lose the ball and then go on defense. In particular, we need to be fully focused when it comes to counterattacks. We always have a lot of fans and supporters in attendance, and after the Nagasaki match there will be a long gap until our next home game, so I want the players to come together and fight for victory on the pitch. We want to win these 90 minutes and get the three points together."
DF3 Riku HANDA "Nagasaki has players with high individual abilities, foreign players, and fast runners, so just like in the recent match against Ratchaburi (ACL2), if the fullbacks don't manage the risks and don't steal the ball well, they will be able to counter and bring the ball to the front of the goal, so we will need to respond to that properly. We have been conceding goals in similar ways recently, so I think we can prevent similar concedements if we first don't allow crosses and if each player does their job thoroughly. We have to win at home, and so far we have won many games on penalties after a draw, and we have not yet won many games in 90 minutes, so we want to win here and go into our next match in Thailand on a good note."
MF44 Kanji OKUNUKI "I worked with Nagasaki's Head Coach Takagi when I was at Omiya, so I'm personally really looking forward to this match. Nagasaki has a lot of foreign players, so I have the impression that they are strong individuals, and I think they have the ability to break through on their own, so I think we need to be careful in that area as well. However, I think we'll be fine as long as we play our own style of football and are conscious of not losing in individual areas, such as in close-quarters battles. I myself will just prepare well as usual so that I'm ready whenever my turn comes. The team has been able to accumulate points in all of our matches so far, but I think it's important to be determined to win in order to change the momentum, so when I play in a match, I will play with the goal of winning as my number one priority for the 90 minutes."
