Although the away game against Machida ended in a disappointing loss, there were some positives to be gained. They created scoring opportunities that could have easily turned the game around against Machida, who had kept a clean sheet for five consecutive games, and they also showed progress in their efforts to counter the five-back formation, which has been an issue for them.
"I honestly think it was a real pain, but I think the players played a good game. They created some scoring chances against a team that struggles to create scoring chances," said Head Coach Poyatos, praising his players' efforts as he reflected on the previous match, in which they lost three points.

The match against Yokohama FC will be a midsummer back-to-back with only 2nd year of junior high school, but Head Coach Poyatos said, "Everyone is feeling positive."
With the ray of hope and the positive feedback they received from the Machida match still lingering, Gamba's goal in this match is to put an end to the negative streak of three consecutive league losses, the first of their kind this season.

Humet, who scored the equaliser in the previous match to tie the game for a time, is not worried about experiencing the Japanese summer for the first time, but he stated the importance of the match against Yokohama FC, saying, "Even though we haven't been able to get three points yet, I feel that we need to get three points, move up in the rankings and give back to the supporters who always come out to Yokohama FC games."

Gamba has conceded goals in the first half of each of their three consecutive losses, forcing them into difficult situations against opponents who are determined to play defensively, but Yokohama FC are also playing a style of football that is realistic about accumulating points, as Head Coach Poyatos said, "I think they are currently playing with the emphasis on staying in the league."
In the previous match, Yokohama FC fought tenaciously against Kobe, winning 1-0. They're coming off a seven-game losing streak, but they'll likely start off their game with a solid strategy. "In order to avoid conceding goals early on, we need to play simply, like not letting the opponent take corner kicks at the beginning. We want to focus on not letting the opponent gain momentum in the first 15 minutes," said Fukuoka.
Gamba is of course prepared with the ideal way to move the ball and strategies, but the quickest way to victory is to play it safe until they take the initiative and score the first goal first.

Yokohama FC, meanwhile, are currently in 19th place, but if they win this match, they could move out of the relegation zone, depending on Shonan's performance. Unlike their last away draw, Head Coach Miura is back in charge, but Lukian remains the core of their attack, and Adailton joined the team at the end of July. Their attacking power has increased, so they'll need to be extra careful of set pieces and crosses.

Humet, who brought joy to the fans in the match against Kawasaki F., is one of those who finds the "pressure" at Panasonic Stadium Suita reassuring. "We've played energetically in previous home games, and we've turned the support of our fans into strength," said Humet.
