"To all GAMBA OSAKA fans and supporters, I have decided to transfer to DC United on a permanent basis.
Thank you very much for the past seven years. The scene when I first stood on the Panasonic Stadium Suita at Panasonic Stadium as a special designated player is still vividly etched in my memory.
My first year as a professional was the toughest of my soccer career, and I struggled and suffered greatly. However, I was saved and supported by the kind words of everyone, and I worked hard with a rebellious spirit, determined to prove them wrong.
Thankfully, I was able to play in many matches, and despite the twists and turns, I felt that I was growing step by step with the club. That's why I wanted to win the EMPEROR'S CUP with everyone last year, but I'm really disappointed that it didn't come to fruition, and I feel very sorry.
I thought a lot and worried a lot about this transfer, but in the end the club respected my strong desire to take on the challenge of playing overseas. I will do my best so that everyone can see my success.
