Today, Head Coach Tomokazu MYOJIN held a Head Coach, and we would like to share some of his comments.

Head Coach Myojin: "Hello everyone. I am Tomokazu MYOJIN , and I have been appointed as the Head Coach of GAMBA OSAKA . I am very pleased to be able to take charge of this great club."
I fully understand the history and traditions that this club has built up, as well as the weight of responsibility that comes with it. I know some may say that I have no experience as a Head Coach, but if I weren't confident, I wouldn't be sitting here. I want to cherish each and every day and build a great team. The most important thing for the team is to win. To that end, I want to dedicate everything I have to this club. And I want to play exciting matches. I want to show everyone who comes to the stadium a game that will excite them and make them think, "I want to come see a GAMBA OSAKA match again." To achieve that, I believe that every single day of training is everything, so I want to put all my effort into it. Thank you for your continued support.

Q: What were your honest feelings when you were offered the position of Head Coach, and why did you accept it?
Head Coach Myojin: "To be honest, I was truly happy. This is my eighth year as a coach, and from my first year, I vaguely had a dream of becoming a Head Coach someday. First of all, I was really happy that that dream came true."

Q: What kind of club is GAMBA OSAKA?
Head Coach Myojin: "Of course, GAMBA OSAKA is the club that nurtured me, and I consider it a great honor to lead it. However, as a Head Coach, I'm not thinking about the past. The club's history is certainly important, and it's the accumulation of that history that has led us to where we are today. But as a Head Coach, I'm only thinking about the future."

Q. You mentioned that you aimed to Head Coach from your first year as a coach. Do you have an ideal image of a Head Coach?
Head Coach Myojin: "I believe the best Head Coach is one who wins. However, GAMBA OSAKA is a club where the question of 'how to win' is also important, so I want to pursue that aspect as well. I've played under and been coached by many Head Coach so far. It's difficult to pick just one, but I want to absorb the good points of each Head Coach and build the team in my own way."

Q. What are your thoughts on the current GAMBA OSAKA?
Head Coach Myojin: "We haven't been able to consistently achieve stable results in the league matches, so I believe that being able to perform consistently throughout the year is a challenge we need to address going forward. On the other hand, winning the ACL2 is by no means easy. It's a title that we were able to win because of the high level of competition and consistent effort in our daily training. In that sense, I believe this team has more than enough ability to aim for a title."

Q: Could you tell us your goals again?
Head Coach Myojin: "Our biggest goal is to win a title. Of course, we want to win the ACL Elite, and we also want to win the league title. Including cup competitions, we will challenge ourselves to win all titles."
