Head Coach comments after the match
JENS WISSING, Head Coach: "We always strive to win, so we wanted to win. Winning requires hard work, but more than that, we made some changes to the lineup today and brought in some young players. We had some debut players, and I think we saw a lot of positive aspects in this match. It was a game where we saw growth, and nothing is over yet, so we'll prepare for the next one."
Q: You mentioned seeing positive aspects; could you tell us more specifically?
Head Coach Jenswiszing: "We want to win every match. This past month has been quite exhausting for many players, with the Asian tournament and then returning to the J.LEAGUE making it a difficult season. However, players like Yuki YOSHIHARA, who made his debut today, and Tono Taiki are high-quality players, and their growth and freshness were essential for today's match. Having talented players is a great thing for the club, and Shogo SASAKI, who returned from injury, played well, scored a goal—I heard it was his first J1 goal—so I saw some positive aspects. These past few months have made the season feel long. Even so, it's very gratifying to see so many positives, and it looks very positive."
Q: "Was Sasaki's substitution in the first half planned? What were your expectations of Sasaki and Yoshihara?"
Head Coach Jens Vissing: "Substituting Sasaki was part of the plan. I considered it while watching the flow of the game, but since it was his first match back from injury, I thought 45 minutes was sufficient. We had a very tight schedule, and although he had returned to training, we hadn't had many opportunities to test him in a match, so it was a bit of a trial by fire, but I think it worked out well. Because he was returning from a muscle injury, I was concerned about his condition worsening, so the substitution was part of the plan. As for Yoshihara and Tono, there were many aspects I wanted to see in the match, so rather than demanding anything specific, I just wanted them to do what they always do, and I was glad to see that. Today ended in a draw, but we have one more match next week, an away game in Tokyo, so we want to win that and have a good conclusion to the 100-Year Vision League."
