Head Coach comments after the match
Head Coach Myojin: "First of all, we went into the match aiming for three points in order to climb the league standings, but the first half was a very disappointing performance, and we were down by two goals, making it a tough match. In the second half, I told the players to forget about the first half and think about how to bring the game to a close in the second 45 minutes, including making substitutions and changing the system. I think the fact that the players fought without giving up until the end despite the tough schedule and physical condition led to the draw. We have another match coming up soon, so we want to make adjustments so that we can start the next match properly and win."
Q: "You mentioned that the first half was disappointing. What aspects did you feel were lacking as a Head Coach? Also, given that you hadn't been scoring much in the league matches, what is your assessment of the fact that you managed to score at the end?"
Head Coach Myojin: "In terms of our performance, we were caught out by Oh Se-hoon's long balls, which we had been wary of. While that is certainly one of the opponent's strengths, I feel we could have been a little more tenacious. There are things to reflect on regarding the first half, including the period when we conceded the goal. I want to commend the players for continuing to push for the goal until the very end, even though we haven't been able to score yet, and we want to use this one point to our advantage going forward."
Q: Please tell us about the tactical changes you instructed at halftime and the intentions behind the five substitutions.
Head Coach Myojin: "At halftime, we changed the system and players, and overall we had more attacking players, which increased the risk of conceding a goal. However, having conceded two goals, we wanted to take risks and try to make a difference in the second half. As for the players who were substituted in the second half, some were tired, and we wanted to change our formation even further, so we changed the players and system to go for an even more attacking approach."
