Head Coach comments after the match
Head Coach Miyamoto's comment: "As we were playing against an opponent close to us in the standings, I think the players were fully aware of the importance of this match and entered the match with confidence. In the first half, we could see the strong training we have been doing this week, and just as we were entering the second half thinking we were going to make it a contest, we were unlucky enough to concede a goal, which made for a difficult start to the second half. I think we had plenty of chances when we were down 0-1, and as for the second goal, it was conceded early on, less than 15 minutes in, so we tried to fight back by changing our system afterwards, but conceding the third goal made things even tougher. However, the league is still on, so we will carefully analyze this 0-3 result and work towards the next one."
Q. "After conceding the first goal, it seemed like the second goal came pretty quickly. Did that cause you to lose confidence?"
Head Coach Miyamoto's comment: "Last time, we were winning 1-0, so I think there was a feeling of disappointment after the score was 1-1, but this time, I don't think the players were able to react that much after it was 0-1. I think they were patient at 0-1 and hoping for a chance to come somewhere, that's how I saw it. However, I think the way we conceded the second goal was too easy, so I think it was because of our enthusiasm, and we were well-organized defensively, with a strong block, and we had a good degree of solid defense in the first half, but in the second half, when we started to play catch-up, there was a bit of a gap between the players, and we were not very good at handling the ball, which led to us conceding a goal. It's important to keep playing without losing mental balance, so I will tell the players that."
Q. "What was your impression of playing against Tosu?"
Head Coach Miyamoto's comment: "They have a lot of players who move energetically, so I think they created several dangerous situations on the counter after we lost the ball in a bad way. We had been taking care of that well before the match, but I thought they were sharp in that regard."
Q. "As we continued to concede goals, you made some changes to the backline. What were your thoughts behind that?"
Head Coach Miyamoto's comment: "I wanted to place a more offensive player at the fullback position to increase the number of times we go on the offensive, and I wanted to change the quality there, so I chose the combination of these two players today with the aim of making that change and making the build-up a little smoother."
