Head Coach comments after the match
Q. "Why did you bring Konno back into the starting lineup, and how do you think it affected Endo's performance?"
Head Coach Miyamoto: "I decided that Konno's condition was not yet good enough for the previous match, and because the opponent was Marinos, I used Taka. I used Konno in today's match because I expected that we would have the ball for a long time. I think the combination that he and Endo have cultivated over the years was evident everywhere, and I also think that we were able to check the opponent's early attacks."
Q. "I think you have corrected the issue from the previous section, which was how to use slow attacks and quick attacks. What is your assessment of this?"
Head Coach: "We were able to keep possession of the ball in the first half, but we lost it around the midfield and were hit by a counter attack, so I think we didn't start off very well. But after that, we were able to move the ball forward and create dangerous situations for the opponents. That was because we were patient and kept the ball.
I think it was because we moved around and took positions between the DF line and the midfield. In the second half, we spent a lot of time on the defensive line at first, but the halftime instruction to stay calm and move the ball around was in everyone's mind, and we were able to move forward while taking care of the ball and connect it to Ui-jo and ADEMILSON Braga Bispo Junior's decisive shots. I also think we saw a lot of good things about speeding up.
Q. "In the second half, you tried to steal the ball in a high position. Was that your intention?"
Head Coach Miyamoto: "We dropped back too much at the start of the second half, so I instructed the players to raise their line a bit higher. Everyone had the mindset of wanting to steal the ball from the front, and after we scored a goal, we gained energy among the players, which led to more scenes where we were able to steal the ball from the front."
