I'm sure there were Gamba supporters who were hoping to come to Sapporo today, but some flights were probably cancelled, and I really wanted to deliver a good result to those people, so I'm very disappointed that it turned out this way.
Looking back on the game, I think we had our chances, and if we had scored them, things would have turned out differently. I think the game turned out this way because we conceded an away goal in the first game. We'll switch our focus to the league game now.

Q. What do you think about Usami's current condition and the impact he had on the team being forced to play his card at that time?

"I don't think Usami's injury is too serious, but he said he was a bit worried about his hamstring, so he was substituted. Of course, if that player had been able to hold onto the ball until the end of the game, and if Usami had been able to stay in the game the whole time, I think things might have turned out differently, but I guess that's inevitable when you're playing consecutive games."

Q. It seemed like you were defending well until the last 15 minutes, but reflecting on what you think you should have done differently when it came to conceding the final goal?

"We were in trouble from a counter attack, and I think we managed to defend it at the very last moment. However, in the end, it turned out exactly as the opponent intended, and although I can't really verify it without watching the video, I think we should have taken advantage of the chances we had."

Q. Unlike 1st Leg, Jay started the game, but was there any difference in the way you defended?

"We had been preparing for the 1st Leg assuming that Jay would play, and there hasn't been much change in the way we defended, but I have the impression that we've been using more direct passes and long balls."
