[Preview] A victory against Fukuoka is the first step in our counterattack. We aim to secure our first consecutive wins of the season against Kyoto in front of our home supporters.

In the match against Fukuoka, Gamba gained momentum by scoring the first goal they had scored in the league this season, and although they were pegged back once, they pulled away from Fukuoka with a winning goal from their ace, Usami, who delivered a spectacular performance. Having completed four consecutive away matches, including the ACL Elite, their mission is clear as they return to Panasonic Stadium Suita, where their supporters have been eagerly awaiting.

"After drawing against Shimizu, we secured three points in the away match against Fukuoka. This is a home game, so we have a strong desire to turn that into a winning streak," said Head Coach Myojin, expressing his hopes for the team's first consecutive league wins of the season.

While Gamba Osaka is steadily growing as a team and discovering new attacking strategies amidst a nine-game stretch of official matches that coincides with their Asian schedule, what they need now is to escape their unsatisfactory 15th place ranking. As Yamashita says, "As a player, I have to aim for the top, but first we have to get out of our current position."

While it's undeniable that Myojin Gamba's direction is still a work in progress, a positive aspect is that their attackers have maintained good form, scoring two goals in each of their last two matches.
Not only are Gamba's wingers, Yamashita and WELTON, starting to shine, but Usami also made impactful passes in the match against Fukuoka and made his presence felt in the finishing stages. "I'm confident that I can change the game with one pass, one shot," Usami said, expressing his satisfaction, and he is focused solely on victory in the match against Kyoto as well, saying, "Winning is the medicine for the team. If we win against Kyoto, we'll have two wins and one draw in the three consecutive matches after the Shimizu match, where we are close in the standings, so it's not bad at all."

The key lies in scoring the first goal. To create the unique pressure that comes from being at home with the supporters, it's essential to break through the opponent's defense. Fukuoka is looking forward to fighting together with their supporters, saying, "It's been a while since we've played at home, and there's definitely an atmosphere that can only be created at home," but Kyoto's front line also has attackers that need to be watched carefully.
In the match against Kashima, the team's top scorer, Elias Da Silva Bataglia Rafael(RAFAEL ELIAS), was not in the squad. However, Kyoto not only has formidable Brazilian attackers such as Alex Aparecido De Souza Alcantara(ALEX SOUZA) and Oliveira lemos MARCO TULIO, who has given Gamba trouble in the past, but Arai, who scored two goals against Kashima, is also the most chance-creating player for Kyoto. For now, Gamba will just have to fight tenaciously until they take the lead.

This season, Kyoto is working on building a new team under the new Head Coach RANKO POPOVIC . This season, they are also participating in the ACL Elite for the first time in the club's history, and although they are in 17th place in the league, they are only one point behind Gamba. Naturally, they will be fighting with strong determination, but in particular, Brazilian GK House, who joined in August, has been making good saves using his 198cm height, so they will need to improve their precision in front of goal and create more scoring opportunities.
"We have a chance to win two in a row at home, so we want to deliver a victory to our supporters," Yamashita said emphatically, and the team is united in their passion to embody that sentiment.
