"I have decided to transfer to Wellington Phoenix FC in New Zealand, which is in the A-League. I am very grateful to GAMBA OSAKA for giving me the opportunity to play for a big club in Japan two and a half years ago. I played with the hope of winning a title, but it is regretful that I was unable to realize that dream. This season, I worked hard in training, maintaining good condition, but I was struggling because I was not getting a chance to play. Then, I received an offer from Wellington Phoenix FC. I thought about it a lot, but as long as I am in the professional world, I want to take on challenges and continue to prove my worth, so I decided to transfer.
Meeting colleagues whom I can truly respect has been my greatest asset.
This will be my first time playing overseas, but I hope to enjoy playing football and produce good results.
I regret that I was not able to say goodbye to everyone in person at the end, but I was truly happy to be a part of GAMBA OSAKA for the past two and a half years. Thank you for this irreplaceable time.
