On the morning of Monday, October 28, 2024, GAMBA OSAKA Co., Ltd.'s sixth president and CEO, Teruhisa Noro (age 71), passed away.
Mr. Noro joined GAMBA OSAKA, Ltd. in 2012 and participated in the new stadium construction project. The following year, in 2013, he became the GAMBA OSAKA's sixth President and CEO, and worked hard to build the stadium, including raising donations.
During this period, the team also went through a tough time, experiencing relegation to the J2 League, but he led the team to promotion to the J1 League in 2013, and in 2014 he achieved the club's first domestic triple crown, winning the J.LEAGUE YAMAZAKI NABISCO CUP(at the time), Emperor 'EMPEROR'S CUP, and J1 League. In 2015, the long-awaited Suita City Football Stadium(now Panasonic Stadium Suita) was finally completed, and the team won consecutive EMPEROR'S CUP titles and four domestic titles during his time with the club, before retiring as Representative Director and President in 2016.
