Pre-match comments for the Kobe match (Head Coach Myojin, player Hatsuse, player Tsuchida)
Head Coach Tomokazu MYOJIN : "Winning in the ACL has lifted the team's spirits, but the league is a different matter. Both I and the players believe that it's crucial to secure three points at home to maintain the momentum we gained from that ACL victory. My impression of Kobe hasn't changed much since the J.LEAGUE 100 YEAR VISION LEAGUE. There have been some changes in the players, but true to Head Coach Skibbe's style, they put pressure on the ball and sometimes form a defensive block, so their basic style of play hasn't changed much. Kobe is playing back-to-back matches, but they've been on a winning streak in the league and have a strong competitive spirit, so I think this match will come down to how much of what we have to offer against such an opponent."
DF21 Ryo HATSUSE : "I think we were able to show what we should be like in the ACL, and we were able to play the kind of football we wanted to play, so all we have to do is show that again in the match against Kobe. Half of Kobe's goals come from long throws, so we absolutely have to be wary of that, and when Sako (Osako) comes on, he takes up some tricky positions, so it will be important to see how much we can prevent him from getting involved. If we let him kick long balls freely, it will definitely be a difficult match, so it will be important to be able to press hard throughout the match and prevent him from easily kicking them. Personally, I think I'm pretty strong when it comes to competing against my former club, and I have good memories of playing in the J.LEAGUE 100 YEAR VISION LEAGUE, so I want to fight hard and get three points."
FW41 Yusei TOSHIDA : "I was able to score in the ACL, but as a FW, it's important to keep scoring goals, and I think I'm expected to score, so I want to take shots properly so that I can score in every match. Kobe has the impression of being a strong team that makes good use of long balls and scores at crucial moments, and this year they have scored many goals from long throws. Personally I'm looking forward to playing against players like Osako, but I think it's important for me to score and win, so I want to aim for the goal and do my best so that I can score and the team can win. I really just see this as a challenge, so I'm going into the game with the mindset of devouring the opponent."
