Announcement of the "Easy Clothing Decoration Club Competition Clothing Recycling Battle" event, held on October 24th (Sat) in the Meiji Yasuda J1 League 12th Sec. against Kyoto [Ministry of the Environment x J.LEAGUE]
GAMBA OSAKA is participating in the "Easy Clothing Decoration Club Competition Clothing Collection Battle," which is being implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of the Environment and the Japan Professional Football League (hereinafter referred to as "J.League").
In recent years, the increasing severity of torrential rains and typhoons has led to the postponement or cancellation of matches, and the rising summer temperatures have had a significant impact on the playing environment. Therefore, climate change countermeasures have become a crucial issue in order to protect the environment in which we can continue to enjoy soccer in the future.
This project is a club-versus-club event in which fans and supporters bring clothes they no longer wear at home to the stadium and work together to promote "clothing reuse and recycling."
On the day of the event, we will hold a raffle for those who cooperate with our clothing collection, with prizes including signed player jerseys, shikishi boards, and GAMBA OSAKA merchandise.
Please bring any clothes you no longer wear and participate in this event.
◆"Easy Clothing Decoration Club Competition: Clothing Collection Battle"
Based on a cooperation agreement between the Ministry of the Environment and the J.League, this is a club-versus-club event where you can support your favorite club while participating in clothing reuse and recycling.
Six J.LEAGUE clubs (GAMBA OSAKA, Kashima Antlers, Mito Hollyhock, Yokohama F・Marinos, Avispa Fukuoka, and Vegalta Sendai) will participate in this initiative, collecting unwanted clothing from households at two of each club's home games. The winning club will compete based on the amount of clothing collected per attendee.
The collected clothing will be reused and recycled to help people move on to the next stage of their lives.
