GAMBA OSAKA held a soccer clinic in Hong Kong for three days, from Friday, September 25th to Sunday, September 27th.
This soccer clinic was co-hosted with the Hong Kong-based YOUNG TALENT FOOTBALL TEAM, with three coaches from GAMBA OSAKA participating: Coach Takahashi, Coach Usami, and Coach Hoshii. A total of nine sessions were held over three days, with approximately 300 participants ranging from 3-year-old children to 65-year-old adults, including children, parents, local coaches, and school officials.

In the soccer clinic, we worked on fundamental soccer techniques such as passing, dribbling, and shooting. The participants enjoyed touching the ball, and we saw them seriously engaging in each play.

Furthermore, GAMBA OSAKA's school values more than just soccer skills. We also had the children participate in tasks often handled by coaches, such as preparing and putting away training equipment. Through creating their own environment for enjoying soccer, they learned the importance of gratitude and courtesy towards others.
The instruction was conducted using simple English and gestures, and everyone greeted each other in Japanese at the start of the soccer clinic with "Yoroshiku onegaishimasu" (Please take care of me) and at the end with "Arigato gozaimasu" (Thank you very much). Despite differences in language and culture, communication naturally arose through the ball, and it was a three-day event where participants and coaches enjoyed playing soccer together.

For this event, we are deeply grateful to our co-organizers, YOUNG TALENT FOOTBALL TEAM, for their efforts in promoting participant recruitment and preparing the venue. We also appreciate HK Express for providing airfare for the coaches, racingsportsphotography for photographing and documenting the activities, and the cooperation of local volunteers, which allowed us to successfully hold a three-day soccer clinic.

Through this initiative, we hope to help the people of Hong Kong feel closer to GAMBA OSAKA, further deepen our collaboration with local partners, and continue our activities in Hong Kong in the future.

GAMBA OSAKA will continue to expand its exchanges with people in Hong Kong and other Asian countries through football, increase the number of people who know and support GAMBA OSAKA, and work to increase the club's recognition in Asia.
