It's been a while since we've come back to our home ground. I'm happy to be able to play in front of so many Gamba supporters. You all create such a encouraging atmosphere in every match, and I hope that many of you will come to the stadium this week to support us.

Our last match Kawasaki Frontale ended in a draw. Kawasaki was a very cohesive team that attacked while in possession of the ball, so I think it was positive that we were able to grab a point away from home. Of course, we also managed to turn the game around at one point, and there were periods when we were leading, so we wanted to win. However, we were able to stop our losing streak in a difficult match, and by having more time in possession of the ball towards the end of the first half, we were able to create our own style and flow, which I think will carry us into this match.

In particular, during halftime we reviewed our team attitude and the fact that we needed to not only play well defensively but also do what we needed to do offensively in order to score, and I think it was a positive thing that we were able to express that through our play.
Similarly, it will be important for us to control our attacks once we have the ball against Kashima Antlers in this match. Recently, when we have not been in a good flow of attack, we have often lost the ball because we rushed the attack after stealing it. Reflecting on this, we want to attack in unison, making good use of both the time to attack quickly and the time to proceed calmly.

Since the appointment of Head Coach Toru ONIKI , Kashima has been creating more opportunities to break down the opponent's defense as a team, not only through the hard defense that is rooted in Kashima, but also through attacks after they have the ball. We will make sure not to allow Kashima to attack freely and not to give space to the front three who are working well together, and after we steal the ball, we will break down the opponent's solid defense with coordinated attacks and combinations as a team, as I mentioned earlier.
Kashima is my old club and I had a very meaningful time there. I'm looking forward to playing against them, and also to meeting my old teammates and the trainers and staff who looked after me. However, I can't give up on the win. If I could be greedy, I would like to score a goal myself and contribute to Gamba's victory, so I would appreciate it if all the fans and supporters could help me. Thank you very much.
