PICKUP PLAYER FW97 WELTON"We will live up to our uniform and play our own football"

I'm back at Panasonic Stadium Suita for the first time in three official matches. To be honest, our most recent match against Montedio Yamagata in the Emperor's EMPEROR'S CUP was a disappointing loss, and with only three days between matches, I'll be playing with a sense of fatigue, pain, and a heavy heart. I myself felt the trust of the Head Coach when I stepped onto the pitch, but I still have a lot of regrets, including not being able to convert a big chance in the second half.

However, now that the match is over, our number one priority is to make sure we get the three points in the upcoming matches, especially at home. In other words, we absolutely must end this match Kawasaki Frontale with a win. To that end, we will focus on what we need to do and do our best to get a result. We are aware that this match will have a big impact on our future league matches, so we will play this match with care and determination.

Our opponent, Kawasaki F, has the impression of being a high-quality team with a long history and a prestigious club. This year, Head Coach Shigetoshi HASEBE was appointed, and this season, it seems that they are sticking to the same offensive style as before. Several players left the team during the summer window, but the impression is that the players who have a strong desire to fill the gaps are firmly maintaining the high quality of the team. Gamba has one thing to do against Kawasaki F. They need to play their own football that does not shame the uniforms they wear. On top of that, we would like to grab the three points that are appropriate for a home game.

Personally, since returning from injury, I have been playing in many official matches, both as a starter and as a substitute, so my condition is close to the best. I am also ready to be a force for the team. Going forward, I intend to continue to play my best for the team, as I have done in the past, working backwards from the goal of winning. On the other hand, as a team, I think that we need to focus more on composure and decisiveness in front of the goal, based on the reflections from the recent Yamagata match, but we cannot move forward if we only focus on what went wrong. I also think that both the team and each individual should not shrink back, but should confidently express the good parts and strengths that we have accumulated so far. I believe that this will lead to the "victory" that the supporters, who always give us great courage and strength as the 12th player at all times, look forward to more than anything else.
