JENS WISSING, Head Coach: "I don't think it was our best performance, and I think that's just how football is. The first half, in particular, seemed slow overall, and we didn't create many chances. In the second half, I felt we had a slightly better flow. Even when we were down to ten men, we seemed to be able to fight well. We have to accept this result. Nothing is decided yet, so we have to work hard for the second leg, and before that, we have a very important match on Saturday, so we want to focus on that."
Q: "This game might be the worst of the season. What do you think are the reasons for this?"
JENS WISSING, head Head Coach: "I don't think this was the worst performance at all. We had 70% ball possession, and it's clear what we were lacking. I think it was a match where we were lacking in the 10% or 15% where we couldn't quite get it right, lacking sharpness, forward momentum, breaking through the defensive line, receiving the ball between the lines, and making runs behind the defense. It's especially not easy to break down a team that's defending solidly. It's especially difficult when you're down 0-1. Of course, I don't think we were at 100%. No matter where you look in the world, it's really difficult to break down such a solid defensive block and score. Even so, it's clear what we need to correct, so I want to accept this result and move forward."
Q" "There were many scoring opportunities in this match, but did the inability to convert them have an impact, or was Nakatani's red card a major factor? What do you think was the miscalculation in this match?"
JENS WISSING, Head Coach: "There's no particular reason why we couldn't create chances, and as I said earlier, I think the problem was in the first half. I think the problem was sharpness, forward momentum, and getting behind the defense, so I don't think it has anything to do with Nakatani. There's no particular difference when he's on the field and when he's not, and I think the reason is that we couldn't create chances, and that was in the first half."
