Head Coach comments after the match
Miyamoto, Head Coach: "Today, our biggest task was to get the three points. In that situation, the players kept their concentration until the end, and we were also lucky, so I think it was great that we were able to get the three points. We started well in the first half, were highly concentrated, and there were periods when we moved the ball well, so I think the first half went as we intended. As for the second half, there were periods when they had the ball and we were on the defensive. However, I think we could have neutralised the opponent's momentum by maintaining possession once more. I think everyone really managed the game well throughout the 90 minutes."
Q: What do you think was the reason why the momentum you had in the first half faded in the second half?
Head Coach: "There were more gaps, and the two strikers were vertical, so we were able to receive the ball in the vital area and face forward, and when we had the ball, we lacked precision and lost it a lot, so we spent a lot of time on the defensive, especially in the first half of the second half. I think that caused us to lose a lot of energy."
Q: "Today we changed to a four-back formation. What was your aim?"
Miyamoto, the Head Coach, said, "I wanted to see the quality that the players showed in the second half of the previous match, or rather, the sharing of ideas for breaking down the defense when they were on the offensive, and I think we were able to see that in today's match. Although we ended up with a three-back formation, depending on the opponent's battle or what kind of players come in, we are open to the idea of switching to a three-back formation in the middle of the game, and we will consider that depending on the opponents we will face in the future."
Q: "How do you feel about your team today after getting three points?"
Head Coach Miyamoto: "I feel like we're doing better in the minutes we play. However, we lost some power in the second half today, so if we can improve our game a bit more, we can play more stably. After we were up 2-0, we had a few chances to score a third goal, but we missed them, which made it a tough game. If we can score in those moments, I think we can play better in the remaining seven games."
