Head Coach Poyatos: "Today's match was a battle of strong rhythm and intensity. I think that the opponent's efforts under the Kyoto Head Coach were really on display. In the first half, we created many chances, and I wanted to finish off the decisive chances, but Kyoto also did a lot of damage to us, so we held on and finished the first half on a good note. In the second half, we were affected by the Hiroshima match, and we could see some fatigue, and we needed to change our plan due to the discomfort and injuries of Alano and (Yamada) Kota. We also didn't perform well in terms of finishing off the final goal, and when the game became more open, the opponent kicked the ball, and we tried to stick to our own style of play, but I really wanted to win."

Q: This was the first game this season where we didn't score any goals. What do you think about the offense, Head Coach Poyatos?
Head Coach Poyatos: "I think we just need to keep training. But we did cause some damage in our attacks and had some clear scoring chances. We need to continue scoring when we're in a good flow, and I think if we had scored in those situations, like (Yamada) Kota's header in the first half and WELTON's scoring chance in the second half, we could have won the game. I think we need to improve our organization a little more when we press the opponent, and we also need to continue thinking about where to find space when the opponent drops back."

Q: "I think this season Gamba has been able to play good defense depending on the opponent, but today against Kyoto, I thought there were some parts where the defense wasn't working. Was that a problem with the intensity due to fatigue from consecutive games, or was it because Kyoto showed a better performance than expected?"
Head Coach Poyatos: "Well, I think that today our first press could have been a little better, and that we lacked a little intensity. I also think that we lacked some defensive reorganization when the opponent carried the ball to the opposite side. The players in the front line are very focused on attacking, so it is quite difficult to instill that pressing and defensive side, but (Yamada) Kota, WELTON, (Usami) Takashi and others are doing a good job right now, and I think we need to improve to take it a step further."
