Head Coach comments after the match
Head Coach Poyatos: "First of all, I would like to congratulate the players. I think their efforts have paid off, and they all worked together to overcome the difficult situation with injuries and other issues. In the first half of today's match, they evaded the opponent's press and scored a goal. We also made an error when they conceded a goal, but Kyoto is a team that presses in that way, so I want to commend them for evading them. At the same time, I think the defense held up well in the second half, which was good. I think all of their enthusiasm and determination for this match was on full display. I'm very happy with this result."
Q: "Today, I think Mitsuda played lower than usual. What were your expectations of him and what are the advantages of him playing there?"
Head Coach Poyatos: "Yes, I've been watching Mako (Mitsuta)'s efforts every day, and I knew that it wasn't his position, but since Rin MITO is out right now feeling unwell, if we had started Shu KURATA today, there would have been no replacement for the defensive midfielder, so I used Mako (Mitsuta) in that way. At the same time, he has a good eye for the ball and a wide range of vision, so I expected him to provide good passes to the movements behind Dennis (Humet). There are days when using him in this way works well and days when it doesn't, but he did a really good job today and I think we were able to play in a good form."
