Head Coach JENS WISSING : "I expected the away game against Kobe to be a very difficult one, but we played well. The game against Fukuoka will also be tough, with only 2nd year of junior high school. If we don't beat opponents like them, it will be difficult to stay at the top of the table, so rather than focusing on the opponent, we want to play our own style of football against Fukuoka. This season, we've had matches where we've been forced to draw or couldn't secure a win because of how we finished the game, so as a team, we need to make sure we finish the game properly. Against Fukuoka, we want to be thorough with risk management throughout the 90 minutes, and make sure we score when we have the chance to score to win. Personally, I want to play what we've been trying to do as a team, as I have been doing, and fight without losing focus for the entire 90 minutes."

FW17 Ryoya YAMASHITA : "Gamba hasn't won an away game against Fukuoka in recent years, so we're hoping to put an end to that losing streak. Fukuoka is in the lower ranks, but I think it's important that we don't let our guard down. What we need to be careful of are their counter-attacks, height, and the power of their forwards. I don't think these things are related to the flow of the game, and if we let our guard down, they'll finish us off, so we really need to stay focused. If I'm on the field, I want to play my part responsibly, bringing momentum to the team and switching on defensively when necessary. Fatigue isn't a factor, and I think we just need to give it our all in this last game of the seven-game stretch, so we want to play in our own style."
